Maggi grew up dancing in Myrtle Beach, SC. She started ballet at the age of three and continued with jazz, tap and later modern and hip hop. She attended the Academy for the Arts where she studied with companies such as: Alvin Ailey, Brosseau Danceworks, and Catawba Indian Tribe.
